“Lordy, that’s as red as the devil’s britches,” exclaimed a local rancher, awed by the vibrant canopy ablaze on what is known today as Devil’s Britches trail at Cataloochee Ranch in Haywood County, NC, right on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Highland Brewing Company commemorates the history of the Great Smoky Mountains and Devil’s Britches trail with a rich, red IPA.
Please join us on Friday, January 10th for the Devil’s Britches IPA release party, and celebrate the Love of Beer and Mountains! Highland Brewing Company will donate a percentage of pint sales to support land and water conservation. The Tasting Room will be open from 4 to 8 pm, with free live music and food will be available to purchase from Smashbox.
Like HBC’s other seasonals, Devil’s Britches is named for a feature of the Southern Appalachian landscape. Along with each release party, Highland Brewing teams up with Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and US Fish & Wildlife on a guided hike in the area each seasonal was named after.
